I COLORI: ecco
ciò che caratterizza e rende facilmente riconoscibili i dipinti di FRANZ
HITZLER. Il colore è il fattore determinante della sua opera- talvolta greve,
fortemente materico, esplodere in bolle, sgorga dai fondali, zampillante da fondali a
volte fluidi ed effimeri, galleggianti.....Il colore appare allora in tutte le
forme e manifestazioni- chiaro e puro, isolato,o stratificato piatto e lineare,
o .applicato con pennelli spessi o con le dita.
Come un’onda fluttuante- si,..... un oceano- attira l’osservatore ,
coinvolgendolo nell’opera stessa, e strappa lo spettatore in un mondo che può
essere espresso in questo modo da FRANZ HITZLER solamente. Un mondo senza
parole. Il pittore non conferisce mai
titoli ai suoi lavori.
Il vortice trascina in un’altra realtà, una realtà che
non può essere rappresententata ne verbalizzata; un luogo
dove trovare la propria forma attraverso una eruzione intuitiva, in cui
le esperienze senza parole dell’artista-
come anche quelle dell’osservatore – vanno ben
oltre la trascendenza. Per Franz Hitzler, vuol dire entrare in contatto
con la sua psicogenesi, la sua esperienza con la nascita e con la morte, con la
paura, con il dolore (e anche col dolore
collettivo), con la violenza ,con la distruzion. La distruzione che si esprime con tagli e mutilazioni delle
sue tele, e non di gran lunga una conclusione, verso una più grande estensione, e lascia che
qualcosa si sviluppi da ciò, agglomerando i frammenti in nuovi ibridi
memoriali, ricongiugendo i frammenti in soglie e simboli di transizione – o in
irregolari, multifaciali, piani pittorici.
Il cammino artistico che Franz Hitzler ha
iniziato verso i 60anni è marcato da una
forte individualità. Osservando i forti
stimoli, si possono trovare tracce e vicinanze con il “BLUE RIDER” ed in parte
con il gruppo COBRA di Asger Jorn. Le sue fonti
filosofiche e letterarie all’inizio si ispirano a Nietzche ed Henry
Miller, e successivamente si coinvolge con la psicanalisi, in particolare con
Freud, Reich e Jung; ma gli è familiare
Artaud, Bataille, De Sade, Bloch e Adorno,insomma lunghi viaggi, e percorre il pensiero dal taoismo di
LaoTse al misticismo indiano e al Buddismo zen.
Franz Hitzler completa i suoi studi accademici tra il
1962 e il 1972 alla scuola d’Arte di Agsburg e alla Accademia di belle arti di
Monaco. La lista delle sue esposizioni personali in musei internazionali e
gallerie inizia dal 1978, nel 1997 viene eletto
membro della Academia Bavarese di
Belle arti
Franz Hitzler
Franz Hitzler was born at Thalmassing near
Regensburg in 1946 in Thalmassing. In 1962 he travelled alone to Amsterdam to
study Rembrandt in the original. After this crucial encounter, Franz Hitzler
decided to become a painter. That same year he attended the Augsburg Art
School, where he was a pupil of Heinz Butz's.
The following year Hitzler established a studio of his own at Asbach-Bäumenheim. In 1967 Franz Hitzler continued his studies at the Munich Art Academy, finishing in Fritz Nagel's master class. In the late 1960s Franz Hitzler turned to both sculpture and ceramics and in 1970 he did his first woodcuts and monotypes.
In 1972 Franz Hitzler moved into a studio in the Haidhausen section of Munich. During the years that followed Hitzler developed an iconography of his own as well as a distinctive formal idiom: the statements he made with his art became more pointed, his forms were consolidated and increasingly bold, with increased emphasis on line.
At the age of thirty-two Franz Hitzler had his first one-man show. A trip to Venice in 1979 enabled Hitzler to study Titian at the Accademia. In 1981 Hitzler was awarded a "Förderpreis by the Bavarian Ministry of Culture". A year later he embarked on slit and collaged pictures. In 1997 he became a regular member of the Academy of the Fine Arts in Munich. Franz Hitzler deals primarily with the fateful influences on our lives, the experiential spaces between suffering and the turn to positive experience, which he translates into painting distinguished by spontaneous and impulsive handling. Many public and private collections own examples of Franz Hitzler's work.
